PERRYVILLE -- Erich H. Ruesler, 96, of Perryville died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at Perry County Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 16, 1903, in Bollinger County, son of William C. and Wilhelmina Bangert Ruesler. He first married Nettie Emde in October 1928. She died in March 1934. He then married Clara Laurentius Buerck in May 1940. She died in May 1965. He later married Clara Bergman Rudisaile in April 1968. She died in July 1985. He and Flora Garrett Obermeyer were married in August 1987.
Ruesler was a retired livestock and agriculture farmer. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Friedheim.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard Ruesler of Sedgewickville; a daughter, Viola Preusser of St. Louis; two stepsons, Kenneth Buerck of Perryville, Gary Obermeyer of Texas; six stepdaughters, Anna Martin and Elvina McGee of Perryville, Vilet Robert of Cape Girardeau, Gilberta Scott of Festus, Mavis Worley of Mississippi and Marilyn Zimmermonn of Pennsylvania.
Also surviving are two sisters, Emma Geringer and Lena Laurentius of Perryville; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 41 stepgrandchildren; 70 great-stepgrandchildren; and six great-great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, two stepdaughters, two sisters, an infant brother, and two stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 6:30-9 a.m.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Church in Friedheim, with the Revs. David Burge and Adam Mueller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
