ERIC WAYNE MCELRATH

JACKSON -- Eric Wayne McElrath, 16, of Jackson, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1993, at his residence.

He was born Feb. 16, 1977, at Perryville, son of Leo Edward and Carolyn Marie Clark McElrath III.

He was working part-time at the Burger King restaurant in Jackson.

McElrath was a junior at Jackson High School where he played on the high school football team, and was a member of the wrestling team and the track team.

He was a past master counselor in the Excelsior Chapter of DeMolay of Jackson.

He was also involved in the Boy Scouts of America with Troop 11 of Jackson, achieving the rank of Life. He was a member of the Anpetu-we Lodge No. 100, the Order of the Arrow.

Survivors include his parents; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo McElrath of Fredericktown; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David B. Clark of Fredericktown; a brother, Leo McElrath IV of Jackson; and a nephew.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson, with the Rev. Otto Steinhaus officiating.

Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery.
