Ernest E. Skiles, 68, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, June 24, 2001, at his home. He was born Dec. 26, 1932, in McClure, Ill., son of Ernest Randolph and Norma Ann Miller Skiles. He and Mary Lynn Lowrey were married Sept. 15, 1957, at Parma, Mo. Formerly of St. Louis, Skiles had lived in Cape Girardeau since 1996. Ernest E. Skiles, 68, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, June 24, 2001, at his home.

He was born Dec. 26, 1932, in McClure, Ill., son of Ernest Randolph and Norma Ann Miller Skiles. He and Mary Lynn Lowrey were married Sept. 15, 1957, at Parma, Mo.

Formerly of St. Louis, Skiles had lived in Cape Girardeau since 1996. He was a retired truck driver and had worked for Trio Drayage.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; and a sister, Shirley West of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jody Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery at Dexter, Mo.
