OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Enos Browning, 84, of Olive Branch died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 27, 1920, at Rockview, Mo., son of Arlie and Eva Gettings Browning. He and Eileen Morningstar were married in 1939.

Browning was a millwright for E.L. Bruce Co. in Cairo, Ill., and later was a carpet installer with Rich Green Carpet Co. He attended Olive Branch Methodist Church.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Stephens of Oklahoma City, Okla., Janet Parish and Marla Green of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Mary Browning of Olive Branch, Zelma Caldwell of Thebes, Ill.; two brothers, Ernest and Clearn Browning of Olive Branch; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry Buckles officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes.
