JACKSON, Mo. -- Ennis Wendel Seiler, 95, of Jackson died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at Jackson Manor.
He was born Nov. 22, 1905, at Whitewater, Mo., son of Wendel Seiler and Florence A. Thrower Seiler. He and Eula M. Brown were married Aug. 30, 1931. She died in 1976. He and Ruby Barks Kaempfer were married Jan. 12, 1976. She died in 1989. He married Helen Schwepker in April 1991. She died in 1996.
Seiler was a prominent farmer in the Whitewater, Mo., community. He was born and lived his entire life on the farm that has been in the family for 100 years.
He was a Democratic committeeman 65 years, member of Cape County School Board 14 years, member of Delta-Stroderville Board of Education 21 years, member of ASCS Board a number of years, and a member of County Planning and Zoning Board six years.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Bill Flannery of Jackson; a stepson, Paul Kaempfer of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren and spouses, Allen and Karen Flannery of Festus, Mo., Angela Flannery of Festus, Laura and Brian Keller of Whitewater; and a great-grandchild, Kaitlyn Keller of Whitewater.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a stepson, three brothers, and a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with Msgr. Ed Eftink and the Rev. Virgil Bunch officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Whitewater United Methodist Church.
