CAPE GIRARDEAU - Emry E. Stovall, 87, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 1990 at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
Stovall, of 1718 Colonial Drive, was born Aug. 19, 1903 at Crump, the son of J. Hez and Mary Elizabeth Randol Stovall. He married Zula Grayum Dec. 27, 1924 at Jackson. She died April 5, 1989.
Survivors include a son, Joyce E. Stovall of Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter, Shirley Penrod of Cape Girardeau; brothers Ernest Stovall of St. Louis, Kenneth Stovall of Granite City, Ill., and Max Stovall of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Ruth Dasher of St. Louis; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A daughter, three brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
Stovall was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Cape Girardeau. Many years ago he worked at Suedekum Hardware in Cape Girardeau and for over 30 years worked as a cement mason. He was a long-time member of the Cement and Plasterers Union in St. Louis.
With the exception of 15 years when he lived in St. Louis, Stovall had lived in Cape Girardeau County.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Ford & Sons Funeral Homes, Mount Auburn Chapel. The Rev. C.E. Fleshman and the Rev. Bill Burke will officiate.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral chapel today from 5 to 8 p.m.
