Emory Snider, 91, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 1991, at the Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.
He was born Dec. 6, 1900, at Whitewater, the son of George and Mary Proffer Snider. He married Eva Waddle on April 28, 1923, at Jackson. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, J.R. Snider of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Virginia Wallace of Maryland Heights; a sister, Eula Below of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
He was a lifetime resident of Cape Girardeau County and worked 44 years at Marquette Cement, retiring in 1966. He belonged to the union at the cement plant. He was a member of the Methodist faith.
There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Park, with the Rev. William Dickey officiating. The body will be at the Ford and Sons Sprigg Street chapel from 10-11 a.m. before the service.
