SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Emmett E. Seabaugh, 65, of Scott City died Monday, May 6, 2002, at his home.

He was born April 23, 1937, at Chaffee, Mo., son of Joel C. and Clara Marjorie Collins Seabaugh. He and Joan Asbridge were married Nov. 23, 1959, in Cape Girardeau.

Emmett was retired from Phegley Enterprises. He was a member of the Church of God of Chaffee, and Elks Lodge at Chaffee.

He served in the U.S. Navy from June 1954 to August 1954.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jay Seabaugh of St. Louis, Toby Seabaugh and Jamie Seabaugh of Scott City; two daughters, Debra Sadler of Chaffee, Shauna Watson of Fruitland, Mo.

Also surviving are five sisters, Esther Henderson of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., Barbara Williamson, Jackie Quade, Joan James and Thelma Flowers, all of Jackson, Mo.; five brothers, Harry Seabaugh of Troy, Mo., L.C. Seabaugh of Cypress, Texas, Marlin Seabaugh of De Quincy, La., Terry Seabaugh of Sulphur, La., Kevin Seabaugh of Jackson; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Adrian Seabaugh; two brothers, Joe and Don Seabaugh.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Church of God in Chaffee, with the Rev. Dale McKenzie officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Pallbearers will be Michael Seabaugh, Adrian Seabaugh, Matthew Williamson, Kevin James, David James, Daniel Seabaugh and Christopher Seabaugh.

Memorials may be made to the Church of God of Chaffee.
