CHAFFEE -- Emma S. Baker, 90, Chaffee Route 1, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born May 20, 1904, near Oak Ridge, daughter of William S. and Minnie Devenport Criddle. She and Emazzar Baker were married Dec. 23, 1920, at Jackson. He died in 1958...

CHAFFEE -- Emma S. Baker, 90, Chaffee Route 1, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 20, 1904, near Oak Ridge, daughter of William S. and Minnie Devenport Criddle. She and Emazzar Baker were married Dec. 23, 1920, at Jackson. He died in 1958.

Survivors include two sons, Cecil Baker of Colorado Springs, Colo., Dale Baker of Sadler, Texas; two daughters, Gladys Stroder of Chaffee, Dorothy Dudley of Cape Girardeau; a brother, William Criddle of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Apple Creek Cemetery at Pocahontas.
