EAST PRAIRIE -- Emma Jones, 87, of East Prairie died Thursday, Dec. 21, 1995, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.
She was born Jan. 26, 1908, at Savannah, Tenn., daughter of George and Myrtle Miller Wolford. She and Leonard Clyde Jones were married Oct. 25, 1925. He preceded her in death Jan. 28, 1993.
Jones was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in East Prairie. She lived in Mississippi County most of her life.
Survivors include a son, Lewis Jones of East Prairie; a daughter, Eveleene Miller of East Prairie; a sister, Lillie M. Pickett of Ledbetter, Ky.; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and five brothers.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel. The Rev. Amos Johnson will officiate, with burial in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
