MATTHEWS, Mo. -- Funeral for Emma Lee Harwood of Matthews will be held at 11 a.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse. Woodrow Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in Matthews Cemetery.
Harwood, 65, died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, at her home.
She was born Aug. 13, 1934, in Center Ridge, Ark., daughter of Roma and Lavada Kirtley Scroggins. She and L.J. Harwood were married Sept. 19, 1951, in Piggott, Ark.
Harwood had lived in Canalou and Matthews all her life. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Larry and Gary Harwood of Sikeston; two daughters, Sonja Meek of Arlington, Texas, Carolyn Farrenburg of Farrenberg; a brother, Pete Scroggins of Center Ridge; three sisters, Nina Gray of Center Ridge, Faye McDaniel of Matthews, Joann Caston of Mountain Home, Ark.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a child.
