PERRYVILLE -- Emma Bertha Peterson, 76, of Perryville, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 1992, at her home. She was born March 6, 1916, in St. Louis, daughter of Ferdinand and Julia Nitsch. She first married Hubert J. Ponder, who preceded her in death. She later married Dusty Peterson July 28, 1984...

PERRYVILLE -- Emma Bertha Peterson, 76, of Perryville, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 1992, at her home.

She was born March 6, 1916, in St. Louis, daughter of Ferdinand and Julia Nitsch. She first married Hubert J. Ponder, who preceded her in death. She later married Dusty Peterson July 28, 1984.

Peterson was a retired machine operator at Style Kraft in St. Louis.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, JoAnn Davis of San Antonio, Texas; a son, Larry Ponder of North Carolina; a brother, Ferdinand Nitsch of Hillsboro; five grandchildren, and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandchild.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Charles John Peterson will officiate, with burial in Home Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-9 p.m. Monday, and after 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.
