Emery O. Stroder, 98, of Crump died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 9, 1907, at Crump, son of Daniel and Alice Simpson Stroder. He and Beulah Kynion were married Oct. 25, 1930. She died Sept. 24, 1995.
Stroder lived and worked on the family farm near Crump all his life. He had lived at Heartland Care and Rehab in Cape Girardeau since 1998.
He attended the former Whitewater High School, and the Assembly of God Church near Crump.
Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Bohnsack of Jackson, Wilma Craft of Dexter, Mo.; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Blake Tiemann and Jason Bachew officiating. Burial will be in Barks Chapel Cemetery.
