MILLERSVILLE -- Emery A. "Bud" Kistner, 99, of Millersville, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 27, 1892, at Millersville, son of Marion and Para Lee Runnels Kistner.
He married Agnes Sawyer, who preceded him in death. He then married Alma Fulbright Ates on Nov. 1, 1943. She preceded him in death in October, 1984.
He is survived by one son, Wayne Kistner of Millersville; one step-son, L.B. Ates of Muskegon, Mich.; one step-daughter, Leona Ellis of Sedgewickville; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons and two sisters.
He was a farmer and worked at the Sawyer-LaPierre Handle Factory. He was a deacon at the First Baptist Church of Millersville for many years, and held various other positions at the church. He was also a veteran of World War I.
Friends may call today from 4-8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Daniel Hale will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Raymond Epps. Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery.
