ELVIS DIFANI

PERRYVILLE -- Elvis Joseph Difani, 93, of Perryville died Friday, July 31, 1998, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Oct. 5, 1904, in Perry County, son of Charles J. and Cora B. Cross Difani. He and Martha Viola Claudle were married Oct. 6, 1924. She died Nov. 15, 1978.

Difani was a retired millwright. He was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church, Carpenters Local 2214 in Festus, and was a 3rd Degree member of Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include two sons, Ben Difani of Perryville, Roy Difani of St. Ann; a sister, Cleo Lewis of Perryville; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Sunday, and Monday from 6:30-9:45 a.m. The parish and KC wake will be at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Alphonse Hoernig officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
