GREENVILLE, Mo. -- Elvis "Butch" Carmack, 77, of Greenville died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
He was born March 17, 1927, at Coldwater, Mo., son of Jesse M. and Mary D. Walker Carmack. He and Eva Larada Allen were married in 1956 in Tunica, Miss.
Carmack retired as a truck driver with Ozark Transportation.
He was a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include four sons, James and Rick Carmack of Greenville, Ronald and Kevin Carmack of Silva, Mo.; a daughter, Connie Allen of Leopold, Mo.; two brothers, Avery Carmack of Fredericktown, Mo., Edward Carmack of Maryland Heights, Mo.; a sister, Nadine Hager of New Orleans, La.; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at Ruegg Funeral Home in Greenville. Bill Pennington and Junior Bennett will officiate. Burial will be in Coldwater Methodist Cemetery.
