PERRYVILLE -- Elverda "Birdie" Allen, 62, of Perryville, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 1994, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born Sept. 16, 1932, in Tilsit, daughter of Alvin M. and Amanda Lange Birk. Birk was owner/operator of Allen Bookkeeping and Income Tax Service more than 30 years...

PERRYVILLE -- Elverda "Birdie" Allen, 62, of Perryville, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 1994, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Sept. 16, 1932, in Tilsit, daughter of Alvin M. and Amanda Lange Birk.

Birk was owner/operator of Allen Bookkeeping and Income Tax Service more than 30 years.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Allen of Perryville; three brothers, Gerhard and Alfred Birk of Jackson, Nelson Birk of Fredericktown; five daughters, Hulda Sievers, Vanita Spooler, Alma Mouser and Vera Allen of Jackson, Laura Nagel of Cape Girardeau, and two grandsons.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, and 6:30-11 a.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Donald Loesch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
