Elvera L. Campbell, 85, of Conroe, Texas, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, July 25, 2011, at Good Day Assisted Living Home in Conroe.
She was born Sept. 2, 1925, in Oran, Mo., to Frank J. and Anna Halter LeGrand. She and Walter Greaser were married Nov. 28, 1946, at Oran. He preceded her in death Sept. 2, 1965. She then married George Campbell April 24, 1986, in Cape Girardeau. He also preceded her in death.
Campbell was a 1943 graduate of Chaffee High School. She had worked at Farmers and Merchants Bank several years before retiring in December 1985. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and its Women's Council.
Survivors include a son, Ricky Joe Greaser and wife Kathy Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Connie Mead and husband Michael, and Mary Beth Greaser of The Woodlands, Texas; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands.
A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with Monsignor William Stanton officiating.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
