DONGOLA, Ill. -- Elva Ulrich, 91, of Dongola died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill. She was born May 22, 1920, in Dunkirk, Mont., daughter of Gabriel A. and Fern Jackson Burrell. She married Dr. Clarence Ulrich on Sept. 12, 1953. He preceded her in death Feb. 20, 2003...

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Elva Ulrich, 91, of Dongola died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.

She was born May 22, 1920, in Dunkirk, Mont., daughter of Gabriel A. and Fern Jackson Burrell. She married Dr. Clarence Ulrich on Sept. 12, 1953. He preceded her in death Feb. 20, 2003.

Survivors include three sons, Gerald (Mary) Taylor of Dixon, Ill., Dr. Tony (Amy) Ulrich of Dongola, Donald (Janet) Ulrich of Metropolis, Ill.; two "special daughters" nieces, Linda (Kip) Dillow of Cobden, Ill., and Marsha (Dennis) Sanders of Paducah, Ky.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sons, Collin Brent and David Lee Ulrich; a daughter, Kelley Annette Ulrich; two brothers, Gerald and Marshall Burrell; three sisters, Doris Williams, Margie Taylor and Maxine Wesp; and a nephew, Eddie Joe Walsh.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna, with the Rev. Federico officiating. Interment will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
