CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Elva Nicholson Larkin, 81, died Saturday, July 28, 2001, at her residence in Charleston.
She was born Dec. 4, 1919, in Bertrand, Mo., daughter of C.W. and Ethel V. Presson Nicholson. She and W.J. "Bill" Larkin were married in April 1951. He died in December 1995.
She lived in Charleston most of her life, was employed with the Brown Shoe Co., was co-owner and operator of Larkin Cafe, and worked with the Charleston School District as a teacher's aide. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Charleston.
Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Westerhold of Sikeston, Mo.; a sister, Edna Lou Hart of Sikeston; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
