FROHNA -- Elton C. Weber, 69, of Frohna died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1998, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 29, 1929, in Perry County, the son of Gerhard and Josephine Kassel Weber. He married Evelyn Weber, who preceded him in death in 1983. He and Gladys Meinz Engert were married on June 27, 1987.
He retired as the head sawyer at East Perry Lumber.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg. He was also a member of American Legion Post 133.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Gary Weber of Frohna; two daughters, Pam Head of Altenburg and Cindy Grebing of Jackson; two brothers, Gilbert Weber of Wittenberg and Floyd Weber of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Dorothy McDonald of Cape Girardeau; and seven grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel from 5 - 9 p.m. today and from 6:30 - 8:30 a.m. Saturday. The American Legion Wake will be at 7 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Alterburg. The Rev. Charles Weber will officiate.
