SIKESTON, Mo. -- Elsie N. Wyatt, 86, of Sikeston died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at St. Marys Health Center in Jefferson City, Mo.
She was born Feb. 13, 1917, in Scott County, daughter of Walter and Ethel Duke Nelson. She and James Wyatt were married Oct. 13, 1934, in Scott County. He died in August 1957.
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Sikeston.
Survivors include three sons, David Wyatt of Cicero, Ind., Marvin Wyatt of Fenton, Mo., and Darrell Wyatt of Hillsboro, Mo.; a daughter, Ellen Merick of Jefferson City; two brothers, Spurlin "Dick" Nelson and Wallace "Cotton" Nelson, both of Sikeston; a sister, Wanda Scarbrough of Marletta, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. John Bouldrey officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
