ELSIE RAUSS

FARRAR -- Elsie A. Rauss, 96, of Farrar, died Wednesday, June 26, 1996, at Perry Oaks Health Care Center.

She was born Dec. 5, 1899, in Perry County, daughter of Ernst and Magdalena Roth Koenig. She and Gottfried F. Rauss were married May 22, 1921. He died April 2, 1967.

Rauss was a member of Salem Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Wilma Weber of Perryville, Norma Schreiner of Jackson; a brother, Alfred Koenig of Perryville; two sisters, Emma Steffens of Perryville, Agnes Koenig of Farrar; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a son, two daughters, a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 4-9 p.m. today, and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to noon.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, with the Rev. Robert Schneider officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
