THEBES, Ill. -- Elsie Mae Pulley, 78, of Eads, Tennessee, formerly of Gale, Illinois, and Thebes, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, Tennessee.
She was born Aug. 6, 1936, in Warren, Arkansas, to Jimmie Horn and Reda Estelle Vining Allen. She and Raymond Gregg Pulley were married June 13, 1952, in St. Louis. He passed away April 6, 2003.
Elsie enjoyed reading and gardening. She was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include two sons, Robert G. (Peggy) Pulley of Eads and Jimmie J. (Sandy) Pulley of Gale; a brother, William "Bill" F. (Goldie) Allen of Red Bud, Illinois; two sisters, Barbara (Don) Black of House Springs, Missouri, and Cherry Reynolds of Farmington, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Roderick of St. Louis; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a son, Raymond Gregg Pulley Jr.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at noon Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery at McClure, Illinois.
