JACKSON, Mo. -- Elsie "Grace" Martin, age 79, passed away Friday, July 20, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Friends may call today between 4 - 8 p.m. at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson. Dr. T. Nick Perry will officiate...

JACKSON, Mo. -- Elsie "Grace" Martin, age 79, passed away Friday, July 20, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call today between 4 - 8 p.m. at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson. Dr. T. Nick Perry will officiate.

Mrs. Martin was born April 3, 1922, at Millersville, Mo., daughter of Charles and Minnie Brotherton Wilson.

Loving survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Ann and Fred Mabuce, of Jackson; son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Linda Martin of Jackson; two sisters, Delsie Clark of Millersville and Virgie Seabaugh of Jackson; one brother, Eugene Wilson of Jackson; and four grandchildren, Kyle Mabuce, Nicole Rhodes, Amanda Martin, and Landon Martin.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.

Mrs. Martin was a resident of Millersville most of her life and in 1999 she moved to Jackson. She was a member of Millersville United Methodist Church and sang in the church choir. She had worked at the former International Shoe Co. in Jackson and the former Davis Electric in Cape Girardeau. She also worked many years with her sister, Flossie, as a cosmetologist, at Flossie's Beauty Shop in Jackson and retired from there in 1972.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Millersville United Methodist Church.
