Elsie Mae Baugher, 82, 717 N. Sprigg, died Monday, July 19, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 25, 1911, at McClure, Ill., daughter of Benjamin H. and Ada Grace Cook Woodard. She and Lawrence Baugher were married Sept. 19, 1928, in Anna, Ill. He died Feb. 27, 1988.
Baugher was a 1928 graduate of McClure High School. She was owner and operator of Mode O'Day Frock Shop in the Town Plaza for 11 years. She moved here in 1992 from McClure.
Survivors include two daughters, Diana Kelley of Cape Girardeau, Beverly Winans of East Cape Girardeau, Ill.; two sons, Richard Dean Baugher of Waterloo, Ill., Kerry Baugher Sr. of Tamms, Ill.; three sisters, Grace Cundiff and Norma Rogers of McClure, Marie Cox of Tamms; 12 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Greg Morrison will officiate, with burial in Lindsey Cemetery at McClure.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
