Elsie Louise Caldwell, 85, of Dutchtown passed away Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 22, 1932, in Fornfelt to Wesley and Mable Hager Lynn. She married Donald Eugene Caldwell on June 15, 1974, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death Nov. 2, 2008

Elsie cleaned houses for many years and loved ironing for her clients. She was an animal lover and enjoyed planting and growing her numerous gardens. She was always known as the "Lady with the prettiest flowers." Her other hobbies included sewing, baking and making candy, especially during the holidays.

She is survived by her son, Rod (Jessica) Underwood of Cape Girardeau; her two daughters, Rhonda (Tim) Dunham of Phoenix and Charleen (Michael) Underwood of Kansas City, Missouri; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a grandchild, four brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with Pastor Wavis Jordan officiating. Burial will be at Hobbs Chapel Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
