PERRYVILLE -- Elsie Margaret Brewer, 98, formerly of Perryville, died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, at St. John's Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. She was born Aug. 11, 1901, in Perry County, daughter of Gottlieb M. and Magdalena Margaretta Dippold Sandler. She and Clarence Elmer Brewer were married Oct. 16, 1924. He died Oct. 23, 1994...

PERRYVILLE -- Elsie Margaret Brewer, 98, formerly of Perryville, died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, at St. John's Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.

She was born Aug. 11, 1901, in Perry County, daughter of Gottlieb M. and Magdalena Margaretta Dippold Sandler. She and Clarence Elmer Brewer were married Oct. 16, 1924. He died Oct. 23, 1994.

Brewer was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons, Milton Brewer of Kirkwood, James Brewer of Front Royal, Va.; a daughter, Patsy Sommer of Florissant; two brothers, Leroy Sandler of Perryville, Melvin Sandler of St. Mary; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three great-stepgrandchildren; and three great-great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. today, and Saturday after 6:30 a.m.

Funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Craig Otto officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Church Cemetery.
