Elsie M. Schmidt Noennig Bouchard, 87, of Old Appleton died Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Independence Care Center of Perry County. She was born Nov. 16, 1924, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Charles and Martha Sauer Schmidt. She and Milton Noennig were married April 24, 1960, and he preceded her in death Feb. 20, 1975. She then married Joseph Bouchard on April 26, 1986, and he preceded her in death April 29, 2005...

Elsie M. Schmidt Noennig Bouchard, 87, of Old Appleton died Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Independence Care Center of Perry County.

She was born Nov. 16, 1924, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Charles and Martha Sauer Schmidt. She and Milton Noennig were married April 24, 1960, and he preceded her in death Feb. 20, 1975. She then married Joseph Bouchard on April 26, 1986, and he preceded her in death April 29, 2005.

Mrs. Bouchard had worked at International Shoe Co. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim, Cheerful Country Doers Extension Club, and loved farming and livestock.

Survivors include a son, Larry (Brenda) Schmidt of Perryville, Mo.; a daughter, Linda (Rodney) Tucker of Old Appleton; four grandchildren, Matthew (Michelle) Schmidt, Sandra (Chad) Price, Joseph Tucker and Mandy Tucker; four great-grandchildren, Leah Sutterer, Sophia Schmidt, Noah and Luke Price.

She was preceded in death by parents and both husbands.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 6:30 to 8 a.m. Wednesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim, with the Rev. Roger Steinbrueck officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim or the Alzheimers Association.

Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville provided the arrangements.
