Elodie Grace Reid, 83, 1848 Thilenius, died Wednesday, June 26, 1996, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Dec. 23, 1912, at Oak Ridge, daughter of Robert and Hattie Greable McLane. She and Amos Leonard Reid were married Jan. 23, 1932, in Jonesboro, Ill. He died July 14, 1992.
Reid had been a cook at the former Wimpy's Drive-In. She was a member of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church.
Survivors include five sons, William Reid of Florissant, John Reid of Maryland Heights, Amos Reid Jr. of Cape Girardeau, Donald Reid of Cuba, Ill., James Reid of Fort Branch, Ind.; three daughters, Dorothy McCullough of Medora, Ill., Betty Followell of Mattawan, Mich., Peggy Childers of Jackson; 19 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, brother and sister.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 5-8 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Pastor Marv Followell, a son-in-law, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
