ELNER STEINHOUSE

CAIRO, Ill. -- Graveside service for Elner F. "Snooks" Steinhouse of Cairo will be held at 3:30 p.m. today at Beechwood Cemetery in Mounds, Ill. The Rev. Kelly Cox will officiate.

There is no visitation.

Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo is in charge of arrangements.

Steinhouse, 87, died Friday, April 20, 2001, at Daystar Care Center.

She was born May 30, 1913, in Jackson, Tenn., daughter of Harry and Ruth Pearson Hutcherson. She married John F. Steinhouse, who died in 1988.

Steinhouse was co-owner of Hutson-Steinhouse Furniture before retiring. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a son, John P. Steinhouse of Olive Branch, Ill.; and two granddaughters.
