ELMO WILLIAM LEMONS

ARAB -- Elmo William Lemons, 72, of Route 2, Arab died Saturday, Dec. 28, 1991, at the Puxico Nursing Center.

He was born March 4, 1919, at Kinder, the son of Henry and Leona Talley Lemons. On May 27, 1941, he married Lorene Stroup at Lutesville. She survives. He was a retired timber worker.

Other survivors include three sons, Ben Lemons of Arnold, Harrison Lemons of Puxico and Ivan Lemons of Arab; five daughters, Norma Wells of Metropolis, Ill., Alma Hanks of Advance, Connie Caldwell of Puxico, Brenda Webb of Algona, Iowa and Linda Hefner of Bell City; two sisters, Cleta Bennett of Zalma and Eula Summers of Metropolis; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Four brothers, a sister, a grandchild and a great-grandchild preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 5:30 to 9 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, where funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

The Rev. Gary Cooper will officiate, and burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
