CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Elmer Lee Vinson, 74, of Charleston died Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
He was born Jan. 25, 1930, in Mississippi County, son of James Hershel and Minnie Kelley Vinson. He and Margaret A. Golightly were married May 3, 1958.
Vinson was a truck driver with T&S Farms.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Clifford Vinson of Salem, Ill., Broce Doyle of Charleston, William Doyle of Joplin, Mo.; two daughters, Diann Guthrie of Oran, Mo., Pamela Vinson of Charleston; three sisters, Mary Trousdale and Ethel Trousdale of Charleston, Stella Flint of Quinlan, Texas; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, a grandson, a brother and four sisters.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Richard Farquhar will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
