ELMER UNTERREINER

PERRYVILLE -- Elmer B. "Spitz" Unterreiner, 87, of Perryville died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Jan. 22, 1911, at Old Appleton, son of Leo and Julie Meyer Unterreiner. He and Rose P. Welker were married July 12, 1941, at Apple Creek.

Unterreiner had worked at Perry County Mill. He was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, Western Catholic Union, and Amrican Legion. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Patricia Swerczek of Ballwin; three sisters, Alma Unterreiner of Old Appleton, Flora Rellergert of St. Louis, Edna Trapp of Perryville; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Saturday from 6:30-9:50 a.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Gerard Kelley officiating. Burial will be in St, Boniface Cemetery.
