DEXTER -- Elmer Lawrence Seyer, 61, of Dexter died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2000, at Ozark Medical Center in West Plains.
He was born Dec. 25, 1938, at Oak Ridge, son of Andy and Colletta Westrich Seyer. He and Rita Marie Naeger were married Aug. 25, 1962.
Seyer was a partner in CEJ Equipment Co. from 1972-85, and was owner of Seyer Equipment Co. from 1985-94.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Lions Club, Elks Lodge and Eagles Aerie.
Survivors include his wife; a son, David Seyer of Dexter; three brothers, Andrew Seyer Jr. and Lester Seyer of Oak Ridge, Charles Seyer of Jackson; four sisters, Viola Kirchdoerfer, Lavada Clements and Joann Clements of Jackson, Rose Parr of Cape Girardeau; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, a brother, and a sister.
Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today. The Knights of Columbus rosary will be recited at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, with the Rev. John Sheley officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
