JACKSON -- Elmer B. Ruehling, 88, of Jackson, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 1998, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 2, 1910, at Pocahontas, son of Henry and Christine Walthers Ruehling. He and Marie Meier were married Sept. 16, 1944, at Pocahontas. She died April 12, 1995.
Ruehling was employed in the parts department at Jackson Implement 43 years, retiring Jan. 1, 1986. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son, Ralph Ruehling, and a sister, Olga Ladreiter, both of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by four brothers.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
