MATTHEWS -- Elmer L. Marcus, 84, of Matthews, died Friday, Jan. 10, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born Nov. 15, 1907, at Kewanee, son of John and Hanna Early Marcus. He and Masil Sowell were married Sept. 17, 1932, at Kennett.
Marcus was a retired farmer, and had also worked for Ray Clinton Construction Co. He was a member of Laborers Local 282 in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry Marcus of Matthews; two daughters, Jeanie Walters of Kokomo, Ind., Kay Perrin of Tipton, Ind.; three grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Funeral service is at 2 p.m.today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Raymond Myrick will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service.
