ELMER JAMES EVANS JR.

ST. MARY -- Elmer James Evans Jr., 53, of St. Mary died Friday, Dec. 8, 1995.

He was born Sept. 14, 1942, in Belgique, son of Elmer James and Lorene Streiler Evans.

He married Patricia L. Boland on Feb. 14, 1984, in St. Mary. She survives.

He is also survived by a daughter, Dana M. Christisen of Perryville; a stepdaughter, Laure P. Heberlie of St. Mary; a stepson, Lloyd Heberlie of Cape Girardeau; five sisters, Rosedel Mitchell, Jeanette Bohnert and Alice Garris, all of Perryville, Shirley Mattingly of St. Mary and Delores Routon of Baton Rouge, La.; two brothers, Robert Evans of Bloomsdale and Roy Evans of Chester, Ill.; and a grandson.

A brother preceded him in death.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Perryville, Perryville Masons, American Legion Booster, Perryville Elks, Local 513 Operating Engineers and Eastern Star.

Friends may call Monday from 3 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 6:30 to 10 a.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ed Hankinson officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
