Elmer T. Heise, 98, of Egypt Mills, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston, Mo. He was born Aug. 1, 1904, in Egypt Mills, son of Albert and Louise Baker Heise. He and Hazel Maevers were married in September 1931 at Egypt Mills. She died March 4, 1983...

Elmer T. Heise, 98, of Egypt Mills, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston, Mo.

He was born Aug. 1, 1904, in Egypt Mills, son of Albert and Louise Baker Heise. He and Hazel Maevers were married in September 1931 at Egypt Mills. She died March 4, 1983.

He was a lifelong farmer and construction worker. He was a lifelong member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills and was active in all its organizations.

He is survived by one son, Ivan Heise of Cape Girardeau; one daughter Dorothy Pinkston of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Lawrence Heise of Oak Ridge; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife he was preceded in death by one son, two brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call from 4:30 to 8 p.m. today at the Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills. There will be a visitation from 10 a.m. to time of funeral service. Pastor Mark Martin will officiate. Burial will be in the Egypt Mills Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
