NEW HAMBURG -- Elmer F. Dumey, 83, Chaffee Route 1, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 16, 1912, in New Hamburg, son of George and Mathilda Goetz Dumey. He and Bertha Vetter were married Feb. 21, 1938.
Dumey was a retired farmer, and member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Larry Dumey of Scott City, Mike Dumey of Naylor, John "Butch" Dumey of Chaffee; two daughters, Rae Johnson of Charleston, W.Va., Kae Harrell of Chaffee; a sister, Johnnie Messmer of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today. The parish rosary will be at 7.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Lawrence Church, with the Rev. Edward Nichols officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
