Elmer E. "Pete" Saupe, 89, of The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, died Friday, Dec. 1, 1995, at the home.
He was born Oct. 19, 1906, at Shawneetown, son of Leo and Lena Kutscher Saupe.
He and Elsie Ruth Winter were married Nov. 19, 1931. She died Dec. 18, 1984.
He was a farmer and a life member of the Trinity Lutheran Church at Shawneetown.
Survivors are a son, Glenn Saupe of Shawneetown; three daughters, Marilyn Turner and Doris Schmidt, both of Cape Girardeau, and Charlotte Hecht of Altenburg; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday at McCombs Funeral Home at Jackson.
Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Howard Mueller will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
