DELTA, Mo. -- Elmer W. Dysinger, 88, of Delta died Monday, April 8, 2002, at his home.
He was born Sept. 12, 1913, in Advance, Mo., son of Dave and Dora Elfrink Dysinger. He and Veda Mizell were married April 19, 1952, in Piggott, Ark.
Dysinger was a member of First Baptist Church, and was a 32nd Degree Mason.
He served in the U.S. Army from March 25, 1941, to Jan. 12, 1946.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Don Dysinger of Delta, Gary Dysinger of Elk City, Okla.; two daughters, Jill Wooden of Sikeston, Mo., Brenda Gones of Gordonville, Mo.; a sister, Lona Burton of Olive Branch, Miss.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eric Hodge officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park, with graveside military rites by Missouri Honor Guard.
