DONGOLA, Ill. -- Elmer C. Hartline, 72, of Dongola, died Monday, March 21, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 18, 1922, in Dongola, son of Cloid and Lura Dillow Hartline. He and Jean Rowe were married Dec. 24, 1947.
Hartline was a retired technician at Choate Mental Health Center. He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church, and veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Linda Keller, Barbara Tucker and Sandra Kaufman of Dongola; a son, Raymond Hartline of Dongola; a half brother, Carroll Slusher of Roxana; three half sisters, Noma Hettenen of Mesa, Ariz., Anna Kohler of Jonesboro, Elsie Eddleman of Dongola, and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, half sister and half brother.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Bill Joyce will officiate, with burial in St. John's Cemetery.
