CHARLESTON - Funeral services will be held Monday for Elmer "Bud" Robinson of Charleston. He died Friday, March 15, 1991, at 7:10 p.m. at Charleston Manor, where he had been a resident since 1969. He was 67.
He was born Sept. 2, 1923, in Blythesville, Ark., to the late Elmer Bryan and Pearl Mae Culp Robinson. He lived in Mississippi County most of his life and attended the First General Baptist Church of Charleston.
His stepmother, Sue Robinson, also preceded him in death.
Surviving are two brothers, Edward Robinson of Dillender, Pa., and Charles Robinson of Oklahoma City; five sisters, Thelma Julian of Hornersville, Mo., Gladys Batey of Orlando, Fla., Bertha Wade of Springdale, Ark., Linda Atwell of St. Louis, and Shirley Bryant of Charleston.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Robert Burke of the Smith Chapel of United Methodist Church of Sikeston will officiate.
Internment will follow in the IOOF Cemtery near Charleston.
