Ellsworth Vancil, 72, of Corpus Christi, Texas, died Sunday, April 19, 1992, in a nursing home there.

He was formerly of Canton, and was a truck driver 10 years for Admiral Merchants of St. Paul, Minn.

Survivors include his wife, Ann; two daughters, July Wilson of Granite City, Ill., Sharon Oleksy of St. Louis; a stepdaughter, Rhonda Wood of Canton; a stepson, Richard Roberts of Hamilton, Ill.; a brother, J.D. Vancil of St. Louis; two sisters, Betty Hoffmeister and Wanda Williamson of Cape Girardeau, and nine grandchildren.

Memorial service was held Wednesday at Cage-Mills-Jackson-Langham Funeral Home in Corpus Christi.
