Ellouise Mae Siebert, 84, of Jackson passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 25, 1932, in Gordonville, daughter of Albert and Frieda Graden Gerecke. She and Freeman Siebert were married June 20, 1950, at Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville. He passed away May 8, 2006.
Ellouise was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church and was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. She worked many years at the Jackson Hosiery Mill and later worked as a welder at Lenco in Jackson. Ellouise enjoyed playing cards with her friends and was very active in her grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's events, always in attendance and cheering them on.
Loving survivors include four children, Sharon Foster (Lawrence Tucker) of Perryville, Missouri, Stephen (Kathy) Siebert of Jackson, Diana (Jim) Hobeck of Oak Ridge and Bonnie (Mike) Pierce of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Shirley (Benny) Campbell of Knoxville, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Michael Hess, Pam (Charles) Groshong, Cathy (Brian) Strickland, Cindy Wachter, Amber (Michael) LeFevre and Danielle (Brandon) Swanner; and 17 great-grandchildren, Ethan, Maggie and Grace Groshong, Alex Moore, Christopher Brooks, Abby, Conner, Carter, Nathan, Nolan Strickland, Riley and Sayler Wachter, and Christian, Isaiah, Caedmon, Elias and Micaiah Swanner.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Evelyn Peetz; and two brothers, Chester and Leeman Gerecke.
The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Chapel A of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joshua Schmidt officiating.
Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
The family suggests contributions be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Saxony Lutheran High School in Jackson.
