ELLIS SHRUM

SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Ellis E. Shrum, 78, of Sedgewickville died Friday, July 27, 2001, at his home.

He was born April 27, 1923, at Lixville, Mo., son of Ralph and Bertha Lix Shrum. He was a member of Crossroads Methodist Church.

He and Alice Marie McClure were married Jan. 5, 1952.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ellis Wayne Shrum of Sedgewickville and Randy Shrum of Perryville, Mo.; and two daughters, Sandra Shrum and Lora Sanders, both of Perryville; one brother, Lester Shrum of Sedgewickville; two sisters, Daisy Shrum and Viola Webb, both of Perryville; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a twin brother, two granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Chapel from 3:30-8 p.m. Monday and on Tuesday at the Crossroads Methodist Church from 8 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. The Rev. James N. Brice Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
