PERRYVILLE -- Elliott J. Sauer, 70, of Perryville died Saturday, April 15, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born December 13, 1924, the son of August and Clara Zoellner Sauer in Biehle. Sauer married Elsie Sauer Sept. 4, 1948, in Biehle. She survives
Other survivors include four daughters, Mary Ann Clifton, Carol S. Hagan, Tina Ann Ponder and Betty J. Narens, all of Perryville; four sons, Donald J. Sauer of Hazelwood, Paul Lynn Sauer of Memphis, Tenn., and Larry S. and Thomas L. Sauer, both of Perryville; two brothers, Ray Sauer of Apple Creek and Marion Sauer of Afton; three sisters, Lillian Sauer of Perryville and Wilma Unterreiner and Truly Wibbenmeyer, both of Biehle; 18 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Sauer was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and the St. Maurus Church in Biehle.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today and from 6:30-9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Tuesday, and a wake service will be this evening.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. John Bolderson officiating. Burial will be in the St. Maurus Church Cemetery.
