PULASKI, Ill. -- Funeral service for Ellie Wallace of Pulaski will be held at 10 a.m. today at Jones Funeral Chapel in Villa Ridge. The Rev. R. Loren Robinson will officiate, with burial in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 8 a.m. today.
Wallace, 83, died Saturday, July 3, 1993, at Meridian Manor Nursing Home in Mounds.
She was born Jan. 30, 1910, in Jackson, Tenn., daughter of George and Willie Rogers Mayfield. She married Antone F. Wallace, who died May 7, 1974.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Wallace of Broken Arrow, Okla., Tony Wallace of Florissant, Mo.; a daughter, Carolyn Showmaker of Pulaski; two brothers, Emer Duke of Jackson, Tenn., George Mayfield of Pinson, Tenn.; five sisters, Pearl Alexander of Beech Bluff, Tenn., Ora Burress of Benton Harbor, Mich., Lucille Gilliam and Sara Ezell of Almo, KY., Betty Johnson of Henderson, Tenn.; five grandchildren, and two great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
