Ellen Kaye Haskell, 67, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 12, 1957, in St. Louis to Milton and Daphne Laura Ellebracht.
She and Rick Haskell were married April 4, 1981, in St. Louis.
Ellen was a skilled and creative artist. She founded Haskell Graphics in 1999 and served many clients in the area, doing all types of technical illustration and graphic design, catalog work and advertising. She loved to quilt, crochet, knit, sew and draw, and made beautiful stained glass windows and glass beads.
Ellen and Rick enjoyed camping in their Teardrop camper. She always looked forward to joining her girlfriends at their annual "Cowgirl camp-out" weekend.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, James Matthew and Lee Michael; stepdaughter, Jessica Sue; sister, Laura S. Benner; and in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents.
No services are being planned at this time.
